The Most Important Decision a Responder Can Make

As a First Responder, we realize that you face many stressful situations in your job or your volunteer position. There are many uncertainties that you face every day, from what you will encounter on the way to a call, at the scene, and in the aftermath of the call. There are also many uncertainties that you may deal with in your everyday life – family situations, finances, health issues, etc.

However, there is one thing that you do not have to be uncertain about – your salvation. The Bible tells us in 1 John 5: 13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

How can you know that you are sure of your salvation? That you are sure that when you die, you will spend eternity in Heaven? God’s plan of salvation is simple:

First, realize that God loves you…

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Second, realize everyone is a sinner…

Romans 3:23  “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Third, realize sin has a price that must be paid…

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Fourth, realize Jesus Chris died to pay your price…

Romans 5:8  “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Finally, pray, ask Jesus Christ to be your Saviour, and claim His promise of eternal life…

Romans 10:13  “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

God wants you to accept His Son, Jesus Christ as your Savior.

If you will...

Right now, pray a simple prayer and ask Christ to save you...

"Dear Lord, I know that I'm a sinner, and that Jesus died on the cross to pay for my sin.
Please come into my heart and save me, in Jesus' name, Amen."

If you prayed this prayer and received Christ as your Savior, we would love to rejoice with you.  Phone, write, or email us.  We would like to hear from you and send you additional materials to help you in your new Christian life.

POLICEMAN'S PRAYER

When I start my tour of duty God,
Wherever crime may be,
as I walk the darkened streets alone,
Let me be close to thee.

Please give me understanding
with both the young and old.
Let me listen with attention
until their story's told.
Let me never make a judgment
in a rash or callous way,
but let me hold my patience
let each man have his say.

Lord if some dark and dreary night,
I must give my life,
Lord, with your everlasting love
protect my children and my wife.
